« Part 4: Back at it... Part 5 of Tablesaw Mobile Station series Part 6: Getting to the top... »

I didn’t get as far as I wanted to get today…I ran into an dilemma. I got the red oak banding installed and it’s all ready for the laminate to be applied. One minor problem…the contact cement calls for the temperature to be 65 deg or higher for 24 hours before applying and 72 hours after being applied. The temp here is in the 40’s now and I don’t expect them to come up until spring, so my garage is cold. So, I have two options…install a heater in the garage or bring the top and all the materials in the house where it is warm. I want to be able to do work when it is cold out, so long term is to install a heater on a dedicated 220v circuit. But, in the meantime, I got my wife to agree that I can glue up the laminate in the house. I have a “sun room” that is large enough to do the work, but it is also where my wife has her desk and PC. I’m not sure that she understands what she has signed up for…time will tell…
