Bought some new planes. They originally asked $350 and I said no thanks, then they told me to make and offer. I said $150 and they said okay. Don’t know anything about the Dunlap or the Sargent. Seem good though. Pretty excited that the No 4 and the No 7 have corrugated bottoms. Didn’t know that when I made my offer. Other Stanley is a 40-1/2. Appears to be a scrub plane.

$350 for a pile of rusty iron. Woof.

The plane market is bananas these days.

They had no idea. They were the grandfather’s planes. Think they were shooting for the moon! I told them if they were restored the whole lot may be around $200 and that I would have to do a lot of work to get them going again. Guess I was convincing because they said okay to $150 no problems…Should have started at $100 haha
