Two years ago I set a personal goal to get some of my work in a public exhibit…well it finally has happened. I am showing five pieces in the 2010 Spring Membership Show of the Lake County Art League. It is definitely a different feeling putting your work out in public locally than uploading pictures internationaly:-) Lumberjocks is an amazing site but I would also encourage people to get involved with local Art Leagues/clubs. From what I have seen on this site we can for sure show people that woodworking is an art!
For those who might live in my area the show is at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts in Waukegan, Illinois. It will be going on until May 17th. I posted some pictures of it below(thanks Joel)....which I am not sure if you can see the entire picture…

I’m very proud for you Jeff. Your work most definitely belongs in this category and deserves a spotlight at exhibits like this. I been a fan of your work from day one. Yet again you have inspired me. I will definitely look into something similar once I get more work under my belt. Ohh and a lot more experience…lol
Congrats!

Very nice work. Encourages me in a similar journey that I have been on. Your work far exceeds my own however. Good job.

Congratulations! WOW! That is great! I am attempting to make a similar box to you “My Nightmares and Dreams” box. Mine will be a little larger and some what different design, but overall quite similar.

Congratulations on on achieving your goals Jeff! I can only imagine how exciting it must be for you. Your work is exactly where it should be, out in public for everyone to see and enjoy. I suspect one day, even a museum or two. Thanks for posting Jeff and again, congratulations!
