56 year old Father, son, brother, and more importantly, goof friend. I started this journey, thinking in my head of building a real nice entertainment center, so I can enjoy my hockey games in style. I knew I could build it, but I've never attempted such a thing. What's funny is that, I haven't built it. I'm having so much fun learning about woodworkIng in my later years that I've forgotten all about the entertainment center. Recalling now how this got started for me, it's been a blast man. It's been such an amazing journey. The only thing I've built so far is this oversized cart to fit the lumber I've gotten from construction sites. The cart on wheels is so full, I can't move it...lol. So, I've taken a while, trying to learn at every turn from super people. I tell ya, woodworkers are the most giving, good natured down to earth people I've ever met. Another reason I haven't built anything aside from that cart is because of my disability, which doesn't allow me to function many days. But I'm so fortunate to be learning something so full of grace, and admiration, from so many talented and brilliant people. It's been fun, just talking about it. I'm hoping to build a stand for a $60 table saw I bought to get me started. As soon as I build this stand, even as disjointed as it'll be, I'll post here for all to laugh at, along with me. So please bear with me as I'm a little slower than most.

I got something real big to say about this Lumberjacks site. All these brilliant ideas that these brilliant guys make, how come there are NO PLANS available for these builds?

I’m new to woodworking and Itty would help me a great deal to learn from some of these guys. How they did things, concepts they used, tools they used, all sorts of things I could learn.

But everything is just show pieces with no how-to’s to it. That sucks for guys like me.
