« Part 3: Painting, sanding, bolting Part 4 of cornhole boards series Part 5: Finishing touches, decal »

This week, I started working on the design of the boards. I used golden oak stain for the middle and blue for the sides. I plan to put a brown or gold stripe down it as well, I haven’t ran into any troubles painting or staining. But I did realize I want to cover up some markings on the sides of my boards so I plan to use black paint on the sides after I’m done with the face. Other than that, I’ll finish painting, then throw on some poly on the stain on my middle and put on a clarion decal and I will be done.

Looks good, Tony. We should consider added an accent stripe where the tape line is… maybe yellow or white, something to contrast the blue and dark stain color. send me a JPEG image of what you would like the decal to be and we can get cracking on it
