Welcome to my shop! About 10 years ago, I tore down an old barn on my property and built a new one. On the lower level is a 3 car garage. The shop is located upstairs over the first bay. There is access to the upper floor of the barn and my shop with a 10’ wide garage door. A driveway allows me to drive into the top of the barn on the backside. This allows easy loading and unloading of lumber.

The shop contains tools that I have acquired over the last 40 years. New projects sometimes require special tools and this is how my shop has developed over the years. I am a self taught amateur woodworker who just enjoys making stuff out of wood!

Attractive exterior; makes us all the more curious about the interior. Hope you humor the peanut gallery here with more interior photos.

Yes, more pics. Those exterior pictures with the snow looks like a painting. How much snow did ya get this year?
Southern Indiana I think set a record for the lowest, less than three inches.

Hey Tim,

Great looking shop. Looks like the drive in ramp at the back is a little hairy with all that snow. I know you are in or near Buffalo – wow you guys routinely win the snow amount race every year. You have a plow on a truck? I think that is a way of life up where you live! I moved from northern Massachusetts out to San Francisco about 14 years ago and haven’t seen snow since. Can’t say I miss it much at all, although there is nothing like a quiet Sunday morning when it has snowed all night. The air is so clean and you can hear every sound as clear as a bell. Beautiful until it turns to slush, then I am done with it.

Love the shop – lets see some of the tools etc!

Joe

Well Jobe, Sunday isn’t bad but what about wakening up before dawn on a Monday morning and find all that snow as a surprise and have to fight the traffic to get to work. I am glad I am retired.

I have been away far too long. Finally got back to the shop after spending almost a year building a cabin on some land we own. I need to get to know some of you folks here on Lumberjacks. I will get some more pictures ready to post.

Have your say...
