I've been a hobbyist woodworker for 15+ years. Up until a little over a year ago, I just made stuff. I've made a little of everything for family and friends but I never really focused on how I was making them. The items always turned out very nice, but I wanted to take my skills to the next level. I wanted my family and friends to be totally amazed at what I make rather than just like it. That's one reason why I joined the Show-Me Woodturner's Group. I saw the skill and knowledge right there in front of me and I knew that I could learn so much from them. They will help me take my turning to the next level. But turning is not the only thing woodworking skill set that I plan on taking to the next level. I'm ready to improve my hand and machine skills too. I want to amaze myself at what I can accomplish.
