Location: Sun City, AZ (was Everett, WA)

I am recently retired to Arizona and sold my wood shop in Washington piecemeal. Getting setup in my new abode with far fewer toys since the retirement community I am in has 3 different fully-stocked wood shops. A am a novice woodworker who is looking at turning his attention from remodeling projects to furniture and wood turning.

My wife and I help with a woodworking vocational training venture near Phnom Penh, Cambodia associated with a Christian mission. Over more than 12 years and about a dozen trips - very enjoyable experiences. We like to travel when we can and poke around our new found home state.

I'm looking forward to making new friends who enjoy working with wood and am already benefiting from LJ member's skills and creativity.

I have been away from the site for a couple of years and looking to catch up on all the amazing projects found here.

Welcome Tim. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. I think it would be interesting for us to read more about you and your wife helping with ‘a woodworking vocational training venture near Phnom Penh, Cambodia’. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thanks everyone. I’m really feeling welcome and really appreciate it. Be patient with me in getting up to speed on posting and stuff. I have some pics to add soon and will enjoy networking with you all.

Just started a Facebook page and having nothing but problems with it. Can’t even access it half the time, although it worked just fine for the first ten days or so. Mostly wanted to have a generic site for sharing project photos and some social networking. Very disappointed with it. I”m ready to abandon that and just go with Lumberjocks.

I am already enjoying peeking at your projects. Thanks!

Hi Tim;

Welcome to Lumber Jocks.

Lots of great people here. And some serious talent, like the guy right above me. First class all the way.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
