Skew back MIGHT be a Disston No. 16? Due to the location of the medallion…

Straight back looks like a D-23….

Good idea about using bluing to restore the etch. I just restored a D8 and was just wondering if there was a way to do that. How would you do it? Apply the bluing then use 400 or 600 grit sandpaper?

In case you didn’t know already there is a Disstonian Institute that will help you id your saw.
