Beveling the corners of the top.

Fuming with ammonia. Not sure I sealed it well enough. Color didn’t get that dark after 48 hrs though sample in tight bag did.. Followed up with couple coats of shellac and rubbed out with wax. The top did get couple coats of wipe on poly after the shellac.

Used #8 screws through rail at the front 4x and 4x buttons at the rear to allow expansion of the top.

Guess it would have been easier to buy this desk at Target for $110…

I am prouder of the final product..

would it be in poor taste to see a pic of the full finished product?

Love seeing a proud builder and his lovely lady, but I’d also welcome the opportunity to see the final product in all it’s glory
