Bandsaw blades smaller than 1/8th inch? - 13 replies

Does anybody know where to get 3/32, or even 1/16 inch bandsaw blades? Supposedly 1/16 inch blades arent made anymore, and that 3/32 is the smallest? I have a scroll saw, but i think it would be nice to have the ability to cut like a scroll saw on the bandsaw while making through cuts, if possible. Can someone tell me where to get some if the...

Question about the tracking arm on a Delta 14" bandsaw - 4 replies

Today I got a Powermatic 14” upper bandsaw wheel to replace the broken stock wheel on my Delta 14” bandsaw. The wheel fits, and is perfectly round and balanced. But, i realised it is smaller in diameter than the lower wheel. by a good 5/16inch. Therefore the blade is not perpendicular to the table, and scrapes the left side blade gua...

I saw this cool little scroll saw on eBay. Does anybody know anything about it, or seen one before? For $30, I think it’d make a cool restoration project. I’ll check OWWM, but I’m hoping someone who knows how to navigate that site better might help?

Anybody have a General international 90-125 M1 14" BS? Or a PWBS 14CS? - 6 replies

(If you know me, your’e probably thinking: “Didn’t this kid just get a Delta 14” saw? Why is he asking about other saws?” A good question. I’m having a problem with it. I took off the upper wheel of my Delta to try and find the source of some wobble, which turned out to be a large crack running across four spo...

Whats a good Miter Gauge? - 8 replies

I’m looking for a miter gauge for my Delta 14” band saw. I measured the slot which came out to 3\8×3\4 inch. Im not looking to spend $100, but I don’t want a chintzy piece of wobbly plastic either. Does anybody know what some good options are, and where I should get? Something sturdy, that fits well, and will work for most...

Surprising Results with Stock Delta 1/2 inch 6tpi BS blade - 1 reply

Last week, I got my NOS Delta 14” bandsaw, along with some extra Delta stock blades the seller threw in, one of which is a 1/2in 6tpi. The blade had a lot of dried and sticky grease on it from the packaging, and it took 10min to open! After cleaning it, I noticed a meat hook abortion of a tooth right where the blade is welded. Ground that ...

Routers are scary! - 45 replies

I was using my 2 1/4 HP router with a straightedge and a 1/4 straight bit to cut some ply wood to size for a mobile base I’m designing for my bandsaw. I was taking it slow, making two passes to get through the 3/4in ply. 1/2 way through my second pass, it stopped cutting, and I took a look to see why. My eyes enlarged to the size of dinner...

Delta Bandsaw Bearings Thread - 21 replies

(im sort of new to this forum, so I’m not sure if I’m violating any rules with this thread. If I am, I apologize, and will delete it.) There seems to be a lot of different opinions on bearings, like what exactly to get, where to get, when to replace, etc. I tried to look it up myself, but it got really confusing really quick. Ther...

My newest plane: Stanley Low angle G12-060 Block plane - 2 replies

I recently got this little gem on eBay for under $20! This is a low angle bevel-up plane, and it has an adjustable throat. It’s made in England, and in beautiful shape. It just needs a little cleaning and sharpening! I have little to no experience using planes, but when I see them for a good price, I get them for future use when I have the...
