Thanks Turtle Carpenter! I never get to your part of the country but I envy you the hardwood that probably grows there. The closest I have been is Southern Ohio or Western West Virginia. I have no complaints about my home state. The water is soft, the cool dry air makes it easy to sleep, and even easier to wake up. There is timber enough to build with, and elk and brook trout enough to fill the freezer.
I read your Blog about your Stanley g12-020. With the popularity of some of the antiques as well as the modern niche suppliers, the g12-020 seems overlooked. It is a nice little block plane and I am rather fond of mine. I am sure that it was difficult to part with.
