"Poor Bugger Me" CNC Archtop

I don’t have a cnc so these depth guides will have to do, I know, way Neanderthal. The hardest, slowest part of an archtop carve is establishing an accurate arch. These jigs aid in getting the depths right. I bandsaw each half of the guide as one, then rip. The diagonal arch depth was handsawn. Now just connect the dots.

The base is modified to suit the waist curve.

Beautiful. Before I got my CNC that is the way to do it. Layout and setup and you perform the same thing as a machine.
