Location: Yokosuka Japan about 50 meters from the 7-11

My story is pretty simple. I arrived in Japan in 1976 and never left. My passion for woodworking is back in my life and I'm loving it.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself just about 2 years ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
I apologize for the late welcome but I am currently serving overseas and don’t have a lot of spare time on my hands.

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

I’ve been busier than a one armed man in a wall paper hanging contest with a bad case of body crabs.
I built a small barn (to keep my tools in) in the yard. Removed all of the old flooring material on the second floor of the house and replaced it with 1 1/4 inch plywood and laminated hard wood flooring. Replaced the sheet metal roof with shingles. Built a new kitchen counter top (haven’t made the doors or drawers yet though). I’m in the process of varnishing and installing pine tongue & groove planks on the ceiling of the kitchen. Getting ready to install electric shutters and build a deck larger than anyone else in Japan….
