A friend of mine has a small saw mill operation and specializes in domestic hardwoods, mostly he uses his contacts throughout the US to find trees that he thinks are likely to have unique figure or color. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to dig through his pile of large and small branch stock that he mills into roughly 3 inch slabs. I’ve completed two projects and am working on a third. I would love criticisms, and/or advice, on these as they are my first attempts at woodworking with anything more that 2×4’s and pocket screws.

These are a couple photos of my current project, it is a four foot long console table. I’ll add the two completed projects to my project area and keep posting updates on this and future walnut projects as the summer progresses.
