Retired Director of sales and Marketing. Recent woodworking fanatic, along with old tool collector and restorer. My theory on woodworking is to complete my projects by hand power as much as possible, I have found this to be more satisfying than using my power tools.

Because I often get asked questions by new members I’ve included the answers to the most( FAQ) along with my welcoming message to LJs.
You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.

There’s a few people on here that collect old tools. You’ll probably fit right in.
Welcome to LJ’s.

Thanks guys for welcoming me. Being a reborn woodworker, I have been excited to find this sight. The deversity of the forums is very refreshing. I will post some of my projects soon. My current project is a blanket chest for my daughters upcoming wedding along with a toolchest for my soon to be son in law. Both will be made out of curly cherry and walnut, with hand cut dovetailing.

Welcome to LumberJocks! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Looking forward to seeing the blanket chest. I made one out of ash. Fun stuff.
