This is a build blog of my efforts to build a cherry Trestle table.

For a detailed summary, see Marc’s site, the Wood Whisperer, Trestle Table series

Marc’s is Honduran Mahogany, I’m going with cherry as I wasn’t quite that confident given the $$’s concerned.

Anyway, pretty much following Marc’s process and here’s where we are as of today;

Templates made;

All the milling and initial blank making was done last weekend so here’s where we are after today’s bandsawing efforts, these 3.5” cherry blanks sure gave the Ridgid a workout but I’m pretty happy with the result so far.

Now I actually need to go back to Connecticut Wood Group as, with some knot’s, defects, bad edges etc.. (and being a complete noob), I don’t actually have enough 8/4 left for the upright support blanks.

So, whilst that’s acclimatising, I think we’ll build the top.

I loved that table that Mark did. Good luck.
