This is a little box which must have belonged to my great-grandfather who was a cabinetmaker. Unfortunately, he was dead before I was born.
size : about 9.5X4×3 cm
some part is missing on the top; it must have been a locking part going into the square hole to prevent the initial sliding.
Note the two little pins.

That’s a slick locking box. Think I’ll try to duplicate it, if you don’t mind. Looks like a neat leisure time project.
