Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.
To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.
Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Thanks, Tony. I mentioned to folks on my Facebook page that I was surprised the dyed vase won divisional Grand Champion, of all the pieces I submitted that’s the one I considered the least interesting.

Thanks for recommending this site. I find the projects posted here, both the practical and artistic, to be very inspiring. As a beginner, I am still at the ‘making a lot of noise and sawdust’ stage of things, but that’s as good a start as any, especially when I can look around here and see what might happen. I’ve already received some helpful advice from other members. btw, My father-in-law bought me a chainsaw yesterday and as I was learning to use it, some of the wood we cut up was going on the firewood pile, but some kept finding it’s way into the “Hmm? This is a really neat bit, I wonder what can I do with it?” pile.
