Not sure what good a wood chain is, but it’s fun to make! Oh, and this is a very PC video.

For some reason, I have to go put a Cole Porter record on, and pay the Cable bill.

Great vid! as always!

Steve, LMAO. Nice unobtrusive product placement. Cool little project. Sure was nice of THAT tool company to send you a new router. Thanks for sharing.

I watched (Porter Cable) your video (Porter Cable) a couple of times (Porter Cable) and I didn’t see any mention (Porter Cable) of a brand name. Great video (Porter Cable).

Have you ever seen a commercial done by a really good looking woman and when the commercial was over, you realize you didn’t hear anything that was said?? That just happened to me. Minus the good looking woman….........

Cool project Steve. I would like to make a chain but I need to buy a router. What brand do you recommend?
Ha ha.

That was sure nice of Porter Cable to send you a New router!

Did they want the OLD one so they could check-it out to see what happened?

Very nice video… Oh, and that tool company, whatever it’s name was, in the video, was good too! LOL

I was wondering how you were going to get the Links “Linked”...

I really thought you were going to work with Templates & Jigs like you did… BUT, add some special steps to make the Chain without having to resort to cheating by breaking & gluing the links together.

Yes, make the chain out of one piece of wood… requiring just a tad of manual carving to get the Links MOVING FREE!

Another big hit with Dad and Danger Boy. I’ve got that same router and really like it. Mine is about 10 years old though. Runs like a champ.

Steve—I’ve got two PC690’s … they are workhorses. Happy routing!

Yes, very cool Steve

You should start a contest about:

  • The best use of wooden chains!*

And the winner can get your old router.

Make Porter Cable send you another router. That is way, way too much jigging and rejigging. You need to work on the design and execution. Cutting and gluing a chain is cheating ;-)) ;-)) BTW, great vid as usual.

What ToPo, cheating is not allowed? :) Then I should just quit woodworking. I cheat as much as I can. :) Another nice video Steve. Thanks for sharing. One can learn so many things from your videos.
