Just thought I would post an older YouTube video for LumberJocks who haven’t seen it. Try this in your shop sometime and amaze your friends. Maybe win yourself a beer!

30 years ago while working a booth at the state fair for my union local an old fart shared this trick with me, saying he learned it from his grandpa. I gave the old guy $5. I thought I had been shown the coolest thing and tried to impress a couple of boys that were coming by the booth all day long to drive nails in our nail driving contest. When I got done one boy says,”Wow that is so cool!” The other boy says,” No it’s not I saw that last night on Ripleys Believe It or Not.”

The old man did me. But I made $20 bucks off my Dad showing him this and according to him a month later he more than made his money back with free breakfasts and lunches.

It’s a very old trick but to the unawares a good one worth a free beer at least to share.

An old carpenter that I worked for in 1978 showed me that one. I have won a few beers with too!
