Location: Falcon, Colorado (just east of Colorado Springs, CO.)

I'm an early retiree after 34 years in the corporate world (June 2007) and have changed careers due to late health changes. I'm a type-1 diabetic, (December 2009) which is now in pretty good control with better diet, carb-counting, portion control, and lots of exercise, so I can again pursue more "work". I have more time for working in the shop now, for refurbishing our home, as well as gardening.
I have a passion for woodworking, and have really come to enjoy working out in my shop, a separate building out behind our home. Its 24' X 36' interior size, and started out as a pole barn/horse barn, that I converted with a concrete floor, and wall and ceiling R-19 insulation and a furnace for heat. Its come a long way, its now fully insulated, and has a separate 200Amp electric service. Plenty of power and light...
So I'm always looking to see other woodworking shops, and how I can better finish this baby out
Anyways, that's a little about me, and I'll get the camera out every now and then, and post some shots of the improvements in my shop and home projects. If you're in the area, stop in anytime for coffee and a chat.
See ya,

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Thank you for the post.

Something else that I do, IKEA has these magnetic spice tins with clear plastic lids. They are pricier but they work really well for screws – as long as the lid is on right.
