    Fellow Lumber Jocks,

It is with great sorrow that I inform you that our dear friend and brother Lumber Jock…"Roger Clark"... from Valley Mills in Texas, has sadly passed away.

He will be missed by many of us.

Thanks for the welcome. The mitre box came from a neighbor for $25.00. It was made just up the road in Miller Falls and has a Simonds back saw etched with the Goodell Pratt logo. I'm guessing its about 1915 to 1920 or so. Works great and no NOISE.

Having a problem with HS pen mills. they load up with material on the cutting surfaces and dull quite quickly. I hope to soon have a carbide cutter but in the mean time does any one have a option to keep these cutters cutting?
Hope to post some pictures later today. These will be of the messiest shop in the land and the mystery plane unless I can up load it now. Found it at a yard sale. No markings any where. View attachment 590294

Place the cap and iron in the 2nd position another on the other end and its like a bull nose.

Thanks for the welcome comments. I don't know how active I will be on this forum. I belong to several and I'm not really active on any. I'm the stereotypical lurker. The only thing better than reading about wood working and seeing other woodworker's projects is doing wood working. I'll be looking over your shoulders enjoying and learning.

By the way; I'd like to see some "ausey" pictures of those boats your building, and some of the tools you use to accomplish splaying the yard arm,( It's so easy to just make up stuff on line when you don't know "JACK" about it) Any pictures at all from "The Land Down-Under" would be fun to see.
