30 something from the South who spent my 20s doing a whole lot of nothing but wasting my time and my life. Got divorced in that same time.(My fault, of course.) Mostly lived like the cliche typical lazy young know it all lives.

Then in my early 30s I met a girl, no woman. She opened my eyes to the realities of ME. I started holding myself accountable. Being responsible for my life and actions. Stopped beginning sentences with "yeah but", instead using "that's my fault" or "I made a mistake here". It's really amazing how that little change will impact your life.
Most importantly I decided to stop being the most negative person on earth that never had a nice or positive thing to say. And I started being and fin8a positive in EVERYTHING. Even the worst thing that's ever happened to us has a positive hidden in there and I was determined to focus only on those aspects. If you think, see, speak, do and perform positive thoughts and actions and feelings into the world your life will overall be positive. Positive energy is very powerful and will always come to you if you keep putting it back into the world. People will roll their eyes, laugh and tell you that you are crazy and living in a fantasy world, but I have experienced it over and over again. It's real. It's legit. Nothing will ever change my mind or even make me doubt it a little. I highly recommend it to everyone. You will have a longer, healthier and more complete life.

Then I just decided I wanted to be a Woodworker. I've been an electrician since I was 15, so I already had some tools, knowledge of some carpentry and a pretty high overall ability to figure out anything that I wanted to. I definitely had no idea what I was doing or what was to come. It's so different from what I expected. But definitely in a good way. I'm not very good but I don't really care. It makes me happy.

Came here because I am basically trying to learn this with no help except the godsend they call YouTube. I wish I could personally shake the hand of every single Woodworker on there and say thank you. Without them I'd have quit already. They have helped me so much I can't even put into a. Especially Steve Ramsey. That guy is my hero. I love you Steve. You are a f'ing Patriot, even if you are a Californian. J/K.

So anyway, here I am. I want to listen and gain anything from everyone on here. Yall are all phenomenal woodworkers and I am excited to get any knowledge I can from anyone who offers it.

Thank you for reading and let's build something.

-- I got 99 problems and they are all projects I've started but still haven't gotten around to finishing.
