Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Hi Everyone, and thanks for the warm welcomes. This is the first site I’ve joined (for wood working) and it appears to be the only one I need. There’s a ton of stuff in here! It really humbles me to see the skill level of other members. I’m going to have to step it up a notch.

Soon I’ll be starting on my table saw cabinet. It’s going to house and muffle my shop vac, air compressor, and routers. I might even try to squeeze in a down draft table. My inspiration was (1) seeing a shop vac housing that had a 3” high chamber to muffle the sound and (2) the torsion boxes used on many table saw cabinets. I figure I can combine these two features but first I need to make a collapsible dressing room for my dancing daughters.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
