At this point I do wood working as a hobby. Since I retired at the end of 2012 I've spent a lot more time making projects for family and friends. Most of my experience has been with the scroll saw doing fretwork. I've done a couple of intarsia projects and want to do more.

I also have an old Craftsman lathe that I inherited from my Dad. Prior to retiring I didn't use it very much. In the fall of 2014 I took a wood turning class at the School at Annapolis Woodworks. It was worth the time and expense. I'm slowing trying to turn some bowls from downed trees. Cherry and honey locust are very prevalent in my area. This year I've been able to obtain walnut, ash, box elder, cedar and poplar logs from the neighborhood.
