Holy Cats! It’s gonna happen! I’ve been accepted as a participant in my first public show and sale!
It’ll be at a place called “Bench” up in Omaha on May 16th. For an Old-Guy-Who’s-Been-Around-Some,it’s kinda weird how excited yet apprehensive I am about this. OK, so it’s not the Durham or Joslyn Museum gallery, but it’s pretty cool. They bill themselves as “a public woodworking shop, co-working space and artisan hub”, sort of a communal space for wood- and metal-workers and other artsy type folks of all mediums to gather and work/play and share tools, equipment and experience.
A lot of the pieces I’ve posted on here wll be in my show space. It’s indoors, so weather won’t be a big factor. I hope to have a few more small pieces done by then, too. And I need to put together a 10×10 booth/display setup. I figure I’ll forget or screw up something along the way, but . . . it’s a learning experience and it’s My First Show!!!
( check the place out at benchomaha.com )
Cheers!!

Wishing you good luck on your first show … I recall Monte Pittman’s first show, and with the best wishes of a bunch of LJ’s, he has grown and grown.
