« Part 2: Doesn't look exactly like an L... Part 3 of L-Shaped Desk series Part 4: The fire, it burrrrrns! »

Well, I was traveling all week, so I couldn’t get anything done.

Come Saturday and I decided (probably wisely) that it’s time to tune up the table saw I recently purchased (used). Sure enough, the blade wasn’t square to the table. Thanks to the wood whisperer for a good video to see how to fix that.

I also received the riving knife I ordered for it (it came with a bulky splitter + blade guard combo). I’m sure the blade guard is excellent, I just find it difficult to push pieces past it while keeping them held against the fence if they aren’t super wide.

Kids’ music recitals ended up eating into the rest of the power tool hours of the day (neighbors & etc…)

But… I did try my hand at a dovetail joint… I’ll post about it in a blog about my personal learnings as a woodworker.
