I finally had a chance to use my “new” Stanley #32 jointer plane yesterday on some walnut I’m using as the sides for my son’s soon to be hanging bookshelf. The shavings were amazing and it didn’t take long to get a straight (and very smooth) edge on the board (4/4). It probably would have been easier and quicker to have used the table saw to joint the other side but I was having so much fun doing it by hand that I kept going.

This plane has really impressed me especially since I picked it up at an antique’s store for $20 and it’s in perfect condiion.

I promise, pictures ARE forthcoming. haha

The jointer is the king of planes, in my opinion. Jointing walnut is a pleasure, too. Anxiously awaiting pics.
