I just built this for a customer. Its a headboard.! She’s wanting a whitewash but told me take it my own direction. I’m wanting to do mild whitewash but @ the same time highlight the orange. I’m rather new to the finishes. How can I achieve a gentle whitewash & still highlight the orange without really darkening it?

I got some more barn wood this weekend. The guy told me it was 100 year old. While sorting and stacking my new lumber I came across several boards that I couldn’t identify. After doing some research( dang spotty internet photos) I hope I’m right! Please let me know what you think :
