28 posts in 3808 days Location: Edmonton, Alberta I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta and moved here from Windsor, Ontario about 15 years ago. I have always been an artistic person but was never truly able to use my talents in any other medium until I discovered woodworking. I am still fairly new at the whole woodworking scene so anything I build from scratch tends to be a bit rough around the edges although I am learning very fast. I mostly prefer to refurbish old furniture by redesigning it or giving it a new purpose from what it was originally designed to do. I was recently laid off from my Land Surveying job of 9 years and decided to take a year off from working full-time to sit down and reassess my future. I recently received my computer tech certification as well as planning to start a side business building or recycling furniture, mostly finding a way to incorporate style with technology (digital jukeboxes, office furniture, arcade cabinets, etc). I am really happy that I just stumbled across this site. I can’t believe I have not discovered you before. I look forward to making new friends who actually share the same interests as I do and since I have so much to learn? There appears to be no better place than this one.
