Hey all,

I usually do not post pictures of projects that are incomplete, unless I am blogging the entire process. I just had to post this though. I have been working on a rocking horse for my boys for at least a year. One thing or the other has kept me from working on it.

Well, since I have been a little short on cash to get the lumber to finish up the entertainment center, I have been working on the horse. At first I thought I was going to get it done for Christmas, but that fell through due to the extreme stress I was under at the time.

Well, today I finally got everything screwed together and ready to do the final finishing on. Both of the boys wanted to take “Lightning” out for a test ride. Well, the looks on their faces were priceless. Worth every minute of work done so far.

Here are some pictures:

The horse is not done yet. I still have to finish turning the handles and putting them on. The rockers have BLO on them, and the backs of the legs also have BLO on them, this is the reason they look bad. I will post the horse as a project after I have a chance to get BLO on the rest of it, and get some decent pictures made.

Thanks for looking…

Very fun piece! I look forward to seeing the finish line.
