Cherry blanket chest almost done

Here are some progress photos for the cherry blanket chest.

Laying outbottom boards

Rabbeting the bottom

Bottom boards installed.

Plinth work (all hand work except the long rip cuts – I hate ripping by hand. I made the curves with a compass , coping saw and a chisel / next time I’ll buy a spokeshave…

Here is the box just on top of the plinth, still need to make molding and attach the box to the plinth

Then it’s just wrapping up the lid and adding finish…
