I recently decided it was time to make a proper bench with ability to use my chop saw and radial arm in a fixed location. This is what I ended up with. I added an oak top to the existing built-in base and made the new bench system on right. The radial arm is on shop made oak sliders so it can be used more efficiently but also be stored away to make room for the tractor when it needs to be stored inside the shop. The saw and both benches are all flush and level with each other. Removable fence extensions for the saws will be added later. To make the chop saw mobile I welded up a base to match the one on my mobile mitre saw base, it can be switched is 20 seconds.
Have your say...
