    Hey there Retired Coastie,
Hutchman here. First, thank you for your service to our country. Everything, and I mean everything, we have in this country is only possible because of folks like you.
Was looking at your pic and post re: Dewalt your chop saw hood installed on the Woodsmith station. I have pretty much the same setup, including a DeWalt705 and the WS sliding station. Am looking for additional details on your plywood dimensions of the hood surround if that is possible. Yours is the most finished and no-nonsense version I have seen and would very much like to emulate it. Copying/sincerest form of flattery etc. Also if you could tell me where you sourced your plastic 4 in. dust port I would be grateful. Again thanks.

    Hey there RetCoastie,

I found this website last year when I was reseaching how to build my Hat Box. Unfortunately I haven't had any luck posting due to an inability to figure out my wife MacBook. Glad to see another airdale here, I'm currently at ATTC doing some course writing. Also I noticed in your projects you had a pic of the 1705, it was a sad day when we lost her.

Thanks again! This site is very addictive and informative. After being here for a short time I find myself very humbled when I see all the talent that has gravitated to this forum as well as the amount of help that is freely given to all that visit.

Howdy Dale, Where were you stationed in the CG?

Doug I'm only 5'6", I got in under affirmative action for short people plus I flew during most of my career which kept me out of the water.
