Found a good deal, at least for my area on some material: 8/4 African Mahogany for $5.99/bd ft, and more curly maple at $6.50/bd ft. After the overwhelming positive response to the previous coffee table build, I decided to make another. Most of my family told me I should try and sell a few pieces to finance my hobby, and a local business that sells furniture expressed interest in my work. This time around I will be keeping track of my time so I have a better idea of what goes into it.

The design will be similar to the maple and walnut piece, but will omit the full border and rebate the aprons so they are proportional to the 8/4 legs. The legs will be 1 7/8” at the top so I will rebate the aprons where they enter the leg down to 5/8” and maintain the housed cross lap pattern.

I got the legs blanked out, the breadboard ends and the main panel pieces cut out. Total of 2 hrs so far
