So I bought a house about a year ago and while walking around the property I found this fairly large piece of lumber that was partially sunken into the forest floor. After more inspection I decided to remove it today with the goal of a massively thick three slab dining room table top. Part 2: More salvaged lumber...from underwater

I saw this large piece of wood with obvious signs of being worked protruding from the stream bank behind my house about two years ago during a dry spell and had plans to remove it. No high hopes being that it has been submerged since who knows when. I finally got around to it yesterday and came to the conclusion that it would have to be cut to get it out.
