I had been tossing around the thought this I want a better work bench. The problem is, I don’t have much money or time to build one. As a commercial truck driver by trade, I’m only home for a little more than 1 day per week, and much of that time is taken up caring for my kids, house and volunteering in the Scouting Organization.
But, like every other wood working enthusiast, I know I need to just make some time to do what I love doing. So on each weekend that I have even just a fee minutes I have spent time planning, and building my new work bench. A bench that I hope will last long enough to see use by my grandchildren.
my oldest son and I have been working together, little by little preparing the material and building the bench top. I have finally come to the stage of making the legs for the bench as I write this entry now, but that is a story I want to try and share a little at a time.
