Location: Lake Como PA

Hi, My family owns and operates a hardwood sawmill in Northeast PA, Porosky Lumber Co. I've been selling Curly Maple and Figured Cherry on ebay for years now. In producing stock for woodworkers across the country, I've accumulated several pieces of key equipment essential to woodworking and with a endless supply of lumber it has become my favorite pass time.
Along with my wife, Brandy, I have been finishing off different parts of our house for the last five years and still have a ways to go (does it ever end?). I have some great ideas about what I would like to do, and with the right help and tools hopefully I'll be able to achieve some of them.
Growing up my Grandfather taught me some of the joys of woodworking, which I did not quite get until lately. The solitude for one, the sense of accomplishment, the learning, thinking and understanding that comes with each success and failure. I look forward to being part of the woodworking community for many years to come.

Thanks, everybody. I look forward to being part of this community. After spending several hours reading the helpful advice in the forums section, and seeing how helpful and nice everyone is, I signed right up. I have several projects I’m just starting on so I’ll be asking for some advice right away. Also I think I might be a tool junkie I hope you all will help me along to my full blown addiction. I bleed sawdust and have been involved in making it all my life from the sawmill in the early morning to the wood shop late at night.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
