Thanks Woodworm, Scott, Max & Halltree for the warm welcome. Pushsticks are definitely used, as well as ear plugs, dust mask etc. I’d hate to loose an appendage due to my stupidity or laziness. I have been looking over this website and can’t believe all the wealth of info here. Thanks again and I will be posting pics with descrip of the transformation of my cold, dark ill-prepared workshop into a well-lit, warm (VERY IMPORTANT!!) organized and safe workshop. I’ll also post pics and info of tools, jigs etc so hopefully it will help someone else.

Well, basically anything that’s challenging and different to make.
But right now I’m just starting to get back into it and I’m currently
making a few guitar effects pedal boards for some friends.
But after I plan to scrape up some 1 1/2 in. thick maple and build
an end grain cutting board with the checkerboard look.
