Router Lift - 19 replies

I have a home made router table/cabinet that works great for me, but, I have to lift the table to change router bits or raise/lower the bit I am using. It is kind of a pain, and I always wished I had some type router lift. But it is not in the budget to spend the money for one. I really think I would use my router more if I had a convenient w...

Attempting Scrolling - 3 replies

Lately I have been interested in learning scrolling and Intarsia. I have done a few minor things with my scroll saw in the past, but nothing at all complex. So here is my first attempt of a pattern I downloaded. It was fun, but I think I will enjoy it a lot more when I learn to relax as I’m cutting. Still a little tense.

Just a Comment of Appreciation - 1 reply

I come here to learn and get ideas for projects. I start by looking at the “Projects” first and I am often amazed at the talent displayed here. Sharpening a Draw Knife - 7 replies

I have a draw knife that I seldom use but I think they are cool. Anyway, today I use it to remove the bark from a four foot log of black walnut I have. It really dulled it. There was a lot of dirt/sand in the bark. I have never tried to sharpen one. Need advice on the best way to do it.

Dust Collection/ Under Wing Cabinet - 1 reply

I have a Steel City table saw, unisaw type, and I’m wanting to build a cabinet I can store under the right wind/fence rails. It will be a cabinet on casters, because I have a small shop and need to move my saw often. The dust port comes out that side. I am a DHD (Dust Hose Dragger) so I have to disconnect every time I want dust collecti...

Site Help - 3 replies

I’m pretty new here and still trying to figure how to navigate the forum. My first question is, how do you get to the latest posts in some of these threads? Some have hundreds of posts in them and I haven’t figured out how to get to the most recent post in a long thread other than going through all the posts which only goes 15 post...
