I was a member of this forum but do to my new location, and loss of my
email booklet, I couldn't remember my account (a senior moment) so I
started all over again! I have been wood carving for over twelve years.
I started by carving wood spirits, and other small characters, using knives and all other carving tools, my wood of choice at that time was Basswood.

About ten years later I started carving realistic birds of prey and other small birds, using Tupelo and all of my bird carvings are done with Power Tools!
Not to long ago there has been a Big demand for Tupelo. Resulting a high prices for mediocre wood, so now I'm using Basswood. I'm still using Power
Tools for all of my bird projects of which became a new learning process all due to the fuzz created by power tools. However like anything else one can adapt him or herself to just about anything.

As usual I'm open to helping any new comer to this great adventure wood carving, by either edge tools or power Tools.
