Own a tree service in NJ serving Mercer and Burlington Counties. Started saving our rare wide logs that we used to put in the firewood pile such as Osage Orange, Black Walnut, Black Cherry, Sycamore and so on. I got a great guy out in N jrsey to turn them into slabs and dimensional lumber. He has a Woodmizer LT 70, and cut for us 5 times so far. I found a company in Ma to kiln dry my slabs since nobody around here wanted to do it for me I guess they were scared I would cut into their business, yeah right !! Being prone to maximize my roi I started making my own tables and mantles out of my 3 car garage, wife really likes that haha. Also sell some wood once in a while. Presently have about 15,000 bf air drying and already kd. Have been watching the lumber jocks site for 8 months now and decided to join, the people here seem to be informed and helpful. Thats me the One Time Tree Man.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.
To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.
Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome to LumberJocks. Glad to have you aboard. †
There has been a few people asking where to get Lumber in NJ. You need to post some of your wood.

Chris: we also have a Summer LJ picnic that somehow we missed last summer, but we sure plan on one for this year. The first two times we met at Lee Jesberger’s shop in Sewell NJ.
His wife is a wonderful Greek lady who does wonderful cooking so we were also well fed. Keep your eyes out for a posting on. Make me a buddy any you should get an email whenever I post a new item. If people that wood is available you might get some takers.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless
