Well, I'm a 40ish year old, cripple that has decided to take up woodworking.

So you dont feel the need to ask, (but I'd prefer you did because making others uncomfortable is one of my greatest joys)....
I spent 2011 to 2019 bound to a bed, from a run-of-the-mill virus that attacked my nervous system. It caused me to lose use of my left arm and leg.

So now that I am able to live a bit, I wanted to find a way to reestablish my inner artist. I was a high end Fishing Rod Designer, before falling I'll. Lacking the two hands needed for intricate work in that field, I took a different path now... the path... if a TINKERER!!!!

So be gentle... I'm new to this.

Also, I'm a bit of a giant at 6'8" 320lbs. So I might ask weird questions about things like size, or one-handed uses, etc. If the questions, comments or posts seem REALLY weird, I've had a lot... like A LOT A LOT, of concussions in my lifetime, so bear with me lol.

So hopefully, in time, I can become efficient.

Favorite tool: The band.
Favorite power tool: Rotary tool (but not Dremel, as they've fallen from grace.)
Favorite woodworking tool: Router (because it's like a Rotary Tool)
Favorite tool brand: Whatever has the best value.
Current Best tool: A handmade Pantorouter a stranger made. (Ask me about that story sometime.).
Favorite Wood: The one that is labeled, (because they still look the same to me).

So if any questions, feel free to ask. I know, I will be asking a lot!!!!

-- Never use a screwdriver in a router.
