Hand tool project in progress

I started a new project directly after the holidays, a dining room buffet for my daughter, to be made in the same design as my previous project – her dining room table, a weathered country look. Same wood, silver maple, and this time I wanted to do as much hand tool work as possible. I started with the top, 60” X 17”, with breadboard ends. First, after milling the two boards, I jointed by hand, using a fence on my No. 7 Stanley which provides a pretty square edge.
