Location: Brady, TX

I grew up building houses with my father (free labor) and swore I would never do it again when I got out of school. When I turned thirty I realized that I hated living in the city so I packed up and moved to the woods.

There was nothing in my field to do in the country, and I needed to eat, so I looked around for available work and the only thing I found that I could do was to swing a hammer. Within a short time I found I really enjoyed building things!

I spent ten years building houses, cabinets and even furniture. When the computer business hit our rural area I decided to return to the field that I had trained for and ended up as a business software consultant in the rural areas of central Texas.

I am now retiring and am building a small (20 x 24) woodworking shop so I can indulge in furniture making and teaching my 5 year old grandson about woodworking.
