I had 2 weeks off from work and determined to make a table for the homeschool room.
I’ve emptied the full dust collector twice in a week and broken 3 clamps, so something is happening. 3 days remaining. More glue up tonight. We will see if I make it!

Totally understand the “where did the time go” when vacation days slip away. Sounds like you have made good progess.

Thanks bb1,
I ran into a problem tonight can’t do the big glue up until I solve it.

I have 3 panels glued up already that have to be glued together. My jointer has been very reliable, but when I joint the edge of these heavy panels, they are not straight. I’m going to have to figure out how to do it on the table saw.

Great project. Worth the effort. You can do it. And it will be appreciated and used.

I dislike sanding and applying finishes to projects, so I have a room full of projects at the final stages. The wife isn’t happy, lol. She told me today I can’t start another project until I sand and paint all the other projects (dresser, bookcase/loft bed combo and the first bookcase tower I made for another castle style bunk bed).

Finishing, yes that’s another problem. I decided to shellac everything. It dries enough for the 2nd coat in 15 minutes.
