Round Table for School Room #4: After 6 months, finally Jointed the edges on the TS
I finally worked up the nerve to resume work on the round table project. I screwed a 6’ section of MDF shelf board to the back of each panel, then straight-line sawed it on the table saw with the straight edge of the MDF against the fence. I’ve done 2 of the 4 edges that I need to do and they fit together very nicely, which is a relief. These are the inner edges of the two outer panels. They will not be glued to each other, but I put them together on the bench just to check how straight they are. Now, I have to decide whether to add 2 strips to get back to the originally intended width of 52” or to just let it be a 51” round table.
