It happened the same way for me; at the time, aside from customs (which I hadn't caught onto yet), the only "decent" arcade stick around was the x-arcade. It was ok, but not what I wanted. I did a bit of research online and stumbled upon the srk and byoac forums and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm still trying to find the perfect arcade stick for me.
    I'm close lol…

Building furniture and other small things gives me new ideas to try, plus there's nothing like sitting on a chair YOU built, tailored to YOUR needs and wants.

    See you around. :)

btw, this was one of the first sites I ever came across when researching.

Thanks for the welcome! Indeed it is the same Jason from SRK. I have been researching planers / jointers / router tables and have run across a few of your post on here.

It appears I caused myself some extra work with the building of my son's arcade stick, now his friends parents have been cornering me into building ones for their sons… No way am I enduring the process of milling down the rough cut lumber that I got with my limited tool set again. Plus I think I need some more furniture too :D

Thank you for all your help again as well!

    Seeya around the forum.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

I started back in 2003. The main reason I got into it was that there were no decent arcade quality single player sticks that didn't cost an are and a leg or compromise in some way.

It's actually what got me back into woodworking too.

Your game controller is awesome!! I'd love to try and make one. How did you get started making them?
