Thanks all for your warm welcome. I wish is was as warm here in upstate New York….. snow and cold is what has been with us.

I am sure that spring is not to far away, but next winter It would be nice to be someplace where the Sun shines and the temp is 60’s.

Be well all.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Good morning all. Thanks for all the nice welcome notes. It is nice to see.

Here in upstate NY. the Sun is shining bright and I have already started work on turning my front porch into an all weather room. The joy of this room is that it is mostly redone with recycled items. Flooring, both wood and tile, closet doors, all the wood in the ceiling and trims were aquired from others who were getting rid of them.

Well remodeling a home or updating one might not be a project that one would call wood working, but aspects of it, like combining an old kitchen cabinet with a old hutch and making it look like they “belong”, to me is a wood working project in and of itself.

So, I may put up some “sections” of the home I am working on, some one might be interested.

Good day to you all, from a little old lady that is going to be one year older April 1st…. ouch!
